Next week is the World Savings Day anniversary
Germany - World Savings Day takes place every year in the last week of October - this year on October 30, 2024 - and celebrates a very special anniversary: its 100th birthday.

It is intended to promote the idea of saving and dates back to the 1st International Savings Banks Congress in October 1924.
While the main aim of savers back then was to put their famous nest egg on the high edge, today it is primarily about retirement provision and buying property.
While savings goals have changed, saving has remained what it always was: smart.
Today, World Savings Day aims to raise awareness of financial literacy and boost financial education.
