Horror surgeon! Patients die after risky decisions
Florida (USA) - The patient who had the wrong organ removed by a US surgeon is not the doctor's only victim - another woman died during an operation.

Doctor Thomas Shaknovsky's license in the US state of Florida was revoked in mid-September after he removed the liver instead of the spleen of William Bryan (†70).
As reported by the New York Post, a further complaint was filed against Shaknovsky, as a result of which his license in the state of Alabama has now also been revoked.
The complaint was filed by the Board of Medical Examiners, a non-profit organization for physicians. It is alleged that Shaknovsky has repeatedly acted negligently.
The cases include the death of William Bryan, the incorrect removal of the pancreas instead of the adrenal glands of another patient, and the death of a woman who suffered complications following surgery in July 2023.

Thomas Shaknovsky removed a bowel instead of inserting an artificial anus

This patient was originally supposed to have an artificial bowel outlet, but Shaknovsky independently decided that this was not necessary and removed part of the bowel instead.
Serious complications arose as a result of the operation, which is why the woman had to be transferred to the intensive care unit, where she died shortly afterwards. This is already the third case in which Shaknovsky unnecessarily removed an organ in whole or in part.
The law firm "Zarzaur Law" explained in an Instagram video that Shaknovsky is now no longer allowed to work as a doctor in any US state.
They also stated that another patient had contacted them after Bryan's case became public. This patient claimed that Shaknovsky had threatened him after the operation when he was considering taking legal action.
The license revocation hearing is scheduled for December 18.
