Horror on the highway: Poisonous snake crawls up a woman's leg!
Melbourne (Australia) - A scary moment in Melbourne , Australia! In the middle of the highway, a woman discovered a snake in her car.
As the Victoria State Police explained in a statement, the driver was traveling at 80 km/h along the Monash Freeway when she suddenly felt something on her foot.
Looking down, she was in for a big shock: a deadly tiger viper - the fourth most venomous snake in the world - was slithering up her leg.
"Remarkably, the woman managed to fend off the animal and move through the traffic before stopping and jumping out of the car to safety," the report states.
When alerted emergency services arrived on the scene, the victim was standing barefoot on the side of the road trying to stop cars. "She was examined by paramedics."
Meanwhile, a snake catcher from "Melbourne Snake Control" was called in to deal with the frightening creature.
The expert toldABC News that the tiger otter had been hiding under the dashboard. The animal has since been released "far away from houses, people and pets".
