Douglas (USA) - A shocking discovery: during a forced eviction at a funeral home in the US state of Georgia, police came across 18 decomposing corpses. The owner, Chris Johnson, is now facing charges of abuse of the dead.

Several relatives of deceased people from the community of Douglas are once again having to cope with difficult news.
Several bodies in various stages of decomposition were found at Johnson Funeral and Cremation Services as part of a forced evacuation, the local news platform Douglas News reported.
Some of the bodies had died months ago, including that of a child and two pets, a dog and a cat.

At the weekend, Johnson was arrested at his home and taken into custody. He was charged with the abuse of 17 bodies.
Several relatives who had used Johnson's services said that the businessman had never been contactable.
Many of them now fear that the urn they received does not contain the remains of their loved one.
