Family rescues orphaned baby goat: no one was prepared for the reaction of their deaf pit bull
Pearce (USA) - When farm owners from Arizona adopted a little goat, they hoped that one of their farm animals would eventually take care of the orphaned baby. A female pit bull with a physical disability didn't hesitate for a second.
Owner Allison Thomison had already had the feeling that Evie would be the "best choice as a foster mother", as the four-legged friend has always shown a very caring and protective side.
And she was not to be disappointed: Immediately upon the arrival of baby goat "Branch", Evie took on the role of mother to the orphan.
The deaf pit bull was once rescued by Allison and her husband and lived alongside various other animals on the farm in Pearce, USA. The dog has often helped out as a surrogate mother when Allison took in foster puppies for a period of time.
According to Newsweek, her owner used to joke that Evie had no real job on the farm. But now, with baby goat Branch, the pit bull has apparently found her role.

And the dog takes the whole thing very seriously: Evie never takes her eyes off the little goat for a second, shows it the most important rules of everyday life and also protects it from the other farm animals. In addition to extensive cuddles, the four-legged friend also takes care of Branch's coat.
"Evie is incredibly loving, attentive, caring, protective and fun to watch with her baby goat," says her owner Allison happily. Baby goat Branch is "perfectly happy" because of this.
On TikTok, where the US-American shares her everyday life on the farm, she also published the meeting between Evie and Branch - and melted millions of hearts.
The clip has already been viewed more than 1.6 million times. "This little goat will experience love above all else," commented one user in love.
