After robbery: Arcade owner breaks into homeless camp and recovers loot!
USA - An American arcade owner broke into a homeless camp to retrieve his slot machines and other stolen items. The police's hands were allegedly tied.
After Will Luna closed his arcade in the US state of California last Wednesday, a woman who had been hiding in the attic climbed into the arcade.
As the New York Post reported, she then unlocked the door and let 18 other people in.
The thieves quickly began carrying everything out of the arcade that wasn't permanently attached, looting numerous valuables. "They just went in and out. They ransacked everything," said Luna.
Security cameras, game consoles, a card reader, snacks, the keys to all the machines were among the loot the criminal group took to a nearby homeless encampment.
The police carried out a basic investigation into the crime, but before the officers got any further with their inquiries, the owner found out where the stolen items were.
So he decided to take matters into his own hands.
Will Luna decided to get his property back
On site at the homeless camp, Luna actually found some of his belongings and immediately called the police.
But they told him on the phone that they couldn't do anything - it would violate the rights of the homeless if they simply searched their tents.
"I said, 'I don't give a fuck how many rights they have. These people have my stuff.' They said, 'We can't go in, but you can.' So I did," Luna recalls.
The arcade operator was able to track down some of the stolen goods, but the most valuable items - including a valuable X-Men slot machine - had disappeared.
He also stated that this was not the first time that there had been problems with these people. The hairdressing salon next door has also been broken into and even set on fire in the past.
