Abandoned weeks ago: Dogs are finally rescued - their reaction is so close

California (USA) - Two dogs had to survive in a park for several weeks - then they were finally rescued from their predicament.

As Suzette Hall revealed on her Facebook account today (Monday), the two had simply been heartlessly abandoned. And in an area teeming with coyotes, of all places.

"I found out that they had been living out there for a month," the animal rescuer sadly explained. Neighbors had discovered the two and eventually called for help.

From then on, Hall drove to the spot where she thought the animals were every day for days, but was never able to find them - until a small miracle finally happened!

Yesterday, Sunday, she was driving her car when she received a call - the two dogs had reappeared! Hall could hardly believe her ears. She normally lives an hour's drive away from where the dogs were found. At that very moment, however, she was only one and a half kilometers away.

"I was so happy when I drove back and there they were," she wrote happily. "I got the two traps out of my car as quickly as I could."

And lo and behold: the little dog immediately ran into the cage, only her friend struggled a little.

Suzette Hall gains the dog's trust

"We waited and waited," Hall recalled on Facebook. "At one point I decided to sit on the floor and gain his trust. And I cried so much when he finally gave himself to me."

Exhausted, the furry friend sank into her arms and snuggled close to her chest. It was immediately clear to Hall that this dog was feeling physical contact for the first time in ages.

Without further ado, the animal rescuer made her way to the vet with the two of them.

"These two little babies are real matted rags," she called them, referring to their dirty fur. "But they are survivors." After the visit to the vet, a long bath was the order of the day.

Now Hall has one last, important task ahead of her: finding the two four-legged friends a loving forever basket.
