In the video (see below), the American explains her decision by saying that she had not seen how the drink was prepared.

In the commentary next to it, Howard explains that her grandmother had always warned her about drinks that she had not seen being prepared.

The young woman only published her clip a few weeks after the visit to the bar, which had already taken place on October 20. Since then, the video has been a huge viral success. It has already been clicked on more than 13 million times.

Howard dropped the next bombshellin an interview with Newsweek last weekend.

Because the cocktail, a Lemon Drop, had seemed suspicious to her for a certain reason. "When I saw that the substance in the drink didn't match the one I had ordered, I asked for a new drink," explained Howard.

On closer inspection, the video shows some red particles that could have come from a red powder. "I'm always careful with my drink," the skeptical bar patron told the US magazine.

It could not be conclusively determined whether the cocktail was completely okay or whether it might have been spiked with drugs. Howard had not tasted it and had it returned immediately.

"I just want others to be careful! You never know what someone is up to, whether it's sexual harassment, human trafficking or robbery," says the Texan. Now she's hoping her viral hit on TikTok will help people take a closer look at her drinks.

Today, knockout drops and the like are unfortunately always a risk for bar and club visitors.
