Couple books hotel room with "sea view": what they get instead takes them completely by surprise

Ko Samui (Thailand) - When you have traveled from far away for your vacation, you naturally hope all the more that you won't experience any unwelcome surprises at your accommodation and that everything will be as you booked. When a couple from Canada arrived in their hotel room, they were initially taken completely by surprise.

Instead of a "sea view", one couple had a "mountain view" in the bathroom during their vacation in Thailand.

TikTok's Ken traveled to the Thai island of Ko Samui with her boyfriend in October and had booked a hotel room with a sea view in advance.

Upon entering the bathroom, however, they quickly realized that they had been given a completely different "view" - namely of their very own mountain range.

The couple discovered that a large part of the bathroom consisted of a large rock that stretched from one side of the room to the other.

In addition to the rather unusual appearance, the rock naturally also provided nasty stumbling blocks in the room, which often gets quite damp from bathing and showering.

The room, which is actually intended for relaxation, also doesn't look really cozy due to the huge rock.

Hotel room fail is clicked millions of times on TikTok

"When you book a room in Thailand without knowing that this will be part of it," Ken writes on her video of the surprising discovery in the bathroom. And adds: "When you book the sea view, but they give you the mountain view instead."

In the background, the young woman can also be heard murmuring in disbelief: "Oh my God, what is that? That's so awesome!"

Her viewers also can't believe what kind of accommodation the couple have been put in. One user asks sarcastically: "How dangerous can you make a bathroom?" Another user says: "It's called 'how to slip on a slippery floor and crack your head open'."

Even if the hotel room didn't live up to their expectations, it at least got the couple a viral hit on TikTok. The clip has already been clicked on more than 1.8 million times there.
