23-year-old has a baby: "Fulfilling my dream of being a pregnant father"
USA - Tyliq (23) realized early on that he was born in the wrong body. As a teenager, he began his gender reassignment surgery in order to look on the outside the way he felt on the inside: as a man. But now he is six months pregnant! As well as huge joy, this also means countless nasty messages for the US American.
"It really is a journey. You get to know yourself all over again," the 23-year-old tells the show"My Extraordinary Family" about his year-long gender reassignment.
But now there is another physical change: the transgender man is pregnant! "I'm fulfilling my dream of being a pregnant father," says Tyliq.
When he saw a positive pregnancy test for the first time, he was overjoyed: "I think I cried myself to sleep because it's something I've always wanted."
The lifelong desire to finally be in a man's body, but still wanting to get pregnant? An incompatible idea for many.
So Tyliq has to put up with a lot of hate online. He is accused of confusing his future child and not having properly considered his gender reassignment.
The father-to-be is dismayed: "I would like society to become better at understanding transgender people as people."

Transgender man is pregnant: "I want to give my child a great childhood"
To his critics, he clearly states: "It's not their baby, they're not raising it. As long as she's given the right amount of love and respect, I don't think the negatives will ever outweigh the positives."
Luckily, Tyliq not only has the support of his grandmother and sister to rely on, he has also built up a loyal social media following to support him on his unusual journey.
He promises his unborn daughter: "I want to give my child a great childhood. She will always have me, I will always be there. It will always be my responsibility to look after her."
