Mistake from 2005: Mother has to go back to prison and her family is destroyed!

England - A mother had to go back to prison because she missed a court date - but this date was 20 years ago! The woman's life is now ruined because of it.

44-year-old Rebecca Lansari spent three months in prison earlier this year because she missed an appointment with the parole board after being released from an 18-month prison sentence for cheque fraud in 2005.

As The Sun now reports, she lost her job as a result and will not be able to return to Tunisia until January. She has lived in the North African country since she met her husband Hassib Lansari in 2013 and started a new life there.

Her children, son Luca (18), daughter Naima (11) and her youngest son Aissa (9), also live in Africa. However, the woman regularly flew to the UK to work there, as the wages are higher.

But when she was detained at the airport in England one day and taken to prison, her life changed abruptly.

"I worked and had a great life, and now that's over. It's just been ruined," says the stunned mother.

The prison inspectorate questioned whether her repatriation was really a "sensible use" of resources.

"The repatriation was for a breach of a license condition that occurred 20 years prior to her repatriation. In that time, the woman had committed no further offenses and was now a mother of school-age children and had secure employment," the prison inspector explained.

The 44-year-old is now raising money via a GoFundMe campaign to start a legal battle.

She wrote: "My life was almost perfect (...) - and now I have absolutely nothing. My children are with my husband, their father, in Tunisia, but also financially dependent on me."

"This causes me even more worry and stress, as not only can I not provide for them, but I can't be with them either," she vent her grief.
