After skiing accident: Man forgets separation - and marries his ex!
USA - A concussion suffered in an accident caused a man to forget that he and his girlfriend had broken up - and then they got married!
The day after breaking up with Jenna Brotherson (27), Mitchell Brotherson (27) was injured in a serious skiing accident.
As People reports, the then 22-year-old tried to do a somersault, but hit his head on the ground and was knocked unconscious.
"It was a pretty severe concussion. He failed most of his classes that semester and then had to take time off to let his brain heal," Jenna said.
The concussion affected him so much that he forgot about his separation from his current wife. When he regained consciousness in the hospital, he called Jenna to pick him up because he couldn't drive himself.
"I thought to myself, 'Why is he sending me this message? I just broke up with him,'" the 27-year-old recalled in a TikTok video.
She added to the news portal: "Mitch kept texting me after his concussion and wanted to spend time with me (...) I thought he was probably really serious about 'staying friends'."
Jenna Brotherson regretted the break-up with Mitchell
After a short time, the brunette regretted her decision to break up with him and asked Mitchell if they wanted to be a couple again.
"One night, after we'd been out with friends, we talked about it and I asked him if we wanted to try again. That's when I realized he didn't even know we had broken up!" she said.
She then told him about the break-up and how it had gone. He said that he could remember them having the conversation, but not the details.
"He found it quite amusing and I was relieved. It made it easy to get back together because to him we were never apart!" said Jenna.
Just five months later, Mitchell proposed to Jenna and declared his love for her. Less than three weeks later, the two tied the knot in the US state of Utah. "We're both 27 now, and when people ask us about our love story, it's our favorite thing to tell. We really feel like invisible threads have led us to each other all this time."
