Mom thinks her dog is sad because she's going on vacation, but then she gets this video

Phoenix (USA) - Hannah thought her puppy would be devastated if she left him with her grandparents for the weekend - but she was very wrong.

In a viral video shared by the young woman from Arizona on her TikTok channel "the.lab.woody", Hannah can be seen hugging her beloved Labrador retriever and kissing him goodbye before heading off on a weekend vacation.

The 27-year-old pet owner feared that Woody would be sad and bored without her. But her dog actually reacted very differently than expected.

In fact, the four-legged friend had the time of his life: he played catch in his grandparents' pool and apparently didn't even think about the fact that his owner was on vacation, which almost caused Hannah some irritation.

The US-American told Newsweek that Woody loves staying with his grandparents because he is pampered there and has his very own kind of vacation.

"He gets to swim in their pool every day, gets all the attention in the world from them and the neighbors, and there are unlimited treats for him," Hannah said.

"Whenever Woody spends the weekend with Grandma and Grandpa, he comes home with a full heart and an even fuller tummy. His grandparents really spoil him, but we wouldn't have it any other way," she added.

The cute video spread like wildfire on social media, garnering over 2 million views and more than 900 comments. "I think he's the one who went on vacation here," wrote one viewer appropriately.
