Fiona was first spotted at the foot of the steep cliff by a kayaker in 2021, BBC reported. At the time, the woman assumed that the sheep would come back up on its own. But that was not the case.

For two years, the animal lived completely alone and isolated from other sheep - until a group of volunteers rescued her from her predicament.

After the rescue operation, Fiona was sent to a farm, where she found it visibly difficult to be a sheep among sheep.

"She kind of forgot how to be a sheep," says farmer Ben - who took the sheep in.

According to the farmer, their social behavior towards other sheep is said to have suffered as a result of being alone for so long.

To mark the occasion, the#KeepTalking mental health awareness campaign was launched to address the issue of loneliness.

As The Guardian wrote, her fur was already dragging on the ground before she was scratched. Her wool was sold for charity.

Fiona is now on a diet so she might even become a mother soon.
