Tragic fate after Hamas horror: survivor found dead (†22)
Porat (Israel) - Shirel Golas barely survived the Hamas massacre at the Supernova music festival. Now she has taken her own life on her birthday.

At the time of the Hamas attack, the then 21-year-old had been partying with other young people at the Supernova festival in southern Israel.
As reported by Times of Israel, Shirel got into a car with friends to escape. However, she had a bad feeling about it and continued on foot. She was then rescued by a police car.
As it turned out later, she had a good intuition, because all the passengers who remained in the car were murdered.
Over 380 people were murdered by Hamas supporters at the music festival on October 7, 2023. Countless others were captured, raped and injured.
While she remained outwardly unharmed, her psychological scars from the horror were probably too deep.
As her family announced on Sunday, Shirel took her own life at home on her 22nd birthday.
No help despite trauma

The memories of the horror she experienced apparently drove the young woman to her death. But could this have been avoided?
As the Israeli news channel n12 reports, her brother Eyal strongly criticizes the Israeli government.
The state had not provided adequate care for the survivors, he explained. His sister's death should serve as a wake-up call so that others do not lose their loved ones too.
