Dead and injured at football party: Perpetrators shoot at group of hundreds

Lexington (Mississippi, USA) - Three people are dead, eight others were injured! At least two people shot at a group of 200 to 300 people during a football celebration in the US state of Mississippi early yesterday (local time).

As the Associated Press (AP) news agency reported, citing official sources, hundreds celebrated a school's football victory on a field outside Lexington, around 100 kilometers north of the capital Jackson.

Several hours after the game ended, an argument broke out between several men. Officials have not yet been able to determine what it was about, according to Holmes County Sheriff Willie March.

Then shots rang out and panic set in: "It was chaos, to tell you the truth," March said. "The shooting just started and people started running."

Two of the fatalities were 19 years old, the third 25 years old. The injured were airlifted to local hospitals, according to the report.
