Horror house discovered in Brazil: Man held family captive for 23 years

It is a crime that is shaking up the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais. As the portal"G1" reports, a 52-year-old man has been arrested for a whole series of heinous crimes against his own family.
According to the police, the man kept his 40-year-old partner in a "private prison" in his home in the rural north of the state for more than two decades, repeatedly forcing her to have sex and fathering seven children with her, who are now between 3 and 22 years old.
The investigation into the "Monster of Novo Oriente" began after the eldest daughter (22) gave him sleeping pills and was then able to reveal herself to the police. The man was arrested. The survivors are safe.

When his abused partner became pregnant, he gave her medication to induce abortions. The man buried three dead fetuses in the garden behind the horror hut, where the police found human bones and baby clothes.
"The victim only left the house to receive social benefits and was often accompanied by him. None of the neighbors knew her, not even relatives had access to her," said police spokeswoman Hérika Sena.
However, the sex offender also regularly abused his own daughters. According to the police spokeswoman, the man drilled holes in the walls of the house just so he could watch the girls bathe and dress.
Even the mother-in-law was not safe from assault; she was also sexually abused and has since died. "She was ill, he did not provide medical assistance and the lady died," said the spokeswoman.
After his arrest, the 52-year-old was completely unapologetic, CNN reports. He showed no remorse and actually claimed that he had treated his family "with great affection" and was a "loving" father in general.
The man will probably soon have to answer in court for deprivation of liberty, rape, rape of a vulnerable person, psychological violence, abortion and concealment of a corpse.
