A total of 120 people - 60 women and 60 men - came forward with further allegations against Combs, according to a law firm in Houston in the US state of Texas.

Most of the allegations relate to sexual assault and abuse. Minors are also among the plaintiffs.

As the Washington Post reported, the numerous acts since 1991 have mostly taken place at parties or events in New York and Los Angeles.

Tony Buzbee, the head of the law firm, said: "One of the entertainment industry's biggest secrets, which was no longer a secret at all, has now come to light."

The 54-year-old will soon have to stand trial for the offenses he is accused of.

US rapper P. Diddy denies all allegations

The US rapper is currently in custody. His legal team is seeking his release and has appealed against a judge's decision not to release Combs on conditional release until the trial begins.

Combs himself denied all the allegations against him and described them as "disgusting accusations" made by people looking to make a "quick buck".

The plaintiffs also include Combs' ex-girlfriend Cassandra "Cassie" Ventura, who filed a civil lawsuit last year for assault and sex trafficking.
