Hero on four paws! Dog rescues owner after terrible fall
USA - This dog is truly a hero! After his owner had been lying in the woods for hours without help following a fall, the courageous four-legged friend led the officers to the injured man.
As the police of a town in the US state of Washington announced on Facebook yesterday (Thursday), an officer found the 13-year-old dog named Gita sitting in a wooded area by the road.
The police officer immediately got out and tried to get the dog to get into his car to look for her owner, but the animal resisted.
The officer then searched the area around where the dog had been found, but was unable to find the owner. When he returned to his car, the dog was still in the street and ran off shortly afterwards. The police officer followed the four-legged friend, who led him to a small summer hut.
There, the officer began to search the area, and sure enough - he eventually discovered a man of around 84 years old lying on the ground and desperately calling for help.

The man, who also had other health problems and had to take medication regularly, had fallen and injured his leg.
He had been lying there for several hours. If he had not been found, this could have had serious consequences.
"We thank [dog] Gita for saving his life that day. The loyalty and bravery of our furry friends never ceases to amaze us," the police department said on Facebook.
They also thanked the officer for the extra effort and Gita for being a good girl and a true hero.
