Love is stronger than war: Bunker marriage under rocket fire hits the spot

Jerusalem (Israel) - They will remember this wedding forever in two ways! A couple from Israel actually wanted to celebrate the most beautiful and romantic day of their lives in a chic hotel in Jerusalem. But the war (supposedly) threw a spanner in the works.

When the Jewish state became the target of a massive Iranian missile attack in the late evening hours of October 1, almost the entire Western world was left breathless.

Although Israel has been effectively at war with several of its neighboring states for some time, its 9.5 million inhabitants have to get on with their daily lives as best they can.

Two of them got married in this highly volatile security situation.

According to theNew York Post, the newlyweds and some of their invited guests had to retreat to an underground shelter after the sirens sounded to protect themselves from the threat of an attack.

An almost one-minute video shared by biblical scholar and author "Saul_Sadka" on"X" captured the unusual scenes surrounding the unnamed couple.

The heart-wrenching footage showed husband and wife dancing their wedding dance in a rather cramped space, but even the unusual circumstances didn't seem to bother the couple at all.

The rather dimly lit bunker even seemed to exude a touch of romance, as the hand-picked guests in the background were just as pleasant and honorable as the backdrop to the event.

The groom and bride embraced and moved leisurely back and forth to the music, which was apparently being played on the cell phone of one of their guests.

The clip literally became an internet hit overnight on social media. More than 2.3 million clicks within a very short space of time bear witness to a wedding celebration that could not be disrupted even by almost 200 ballistic missiles.
