A woman thinks her boyfriend wants to make a funny video: What happens next is so close to many people's hearts
Canada/Iceland - This man not only fooled his girlfriend, but also an audience of millions on TikTok. Last month, his video went viral. The reason: nothing in the clip is as it seems - but great emotions are still guaranteed at the end.
The video (see below) begins relatively unspectacularly. In a rehearsed scene, Brando carries his girlfriend Paige on his shoulder to a landmark in Iceland.
He lets her down so that she has her back to him. He then taps Paige, whereupon she turns to face him. He then points to the waterfall in the background, whereupon his girlfriend throws her arms up in jubilation.
The travel-loving couple from Canada, who document their vacations on TikTok, like to produce staged clips like this. That's why Paige thought nothing of it when her partner came up with the idea.
But Brando had something completely different up his sleeve. But there was still a long way to go.
Viral clip achieves more than eight million clicks on TikTok
The procedure is repeated several more times in the clip. Again and again, the couple enter the picture in the same way, Paige joyfully raises her arms at a landmark until they both arrive at another waterfall.
This time Brando lets the cat out of the bag. Before he signals to his girlfriend, who has her back to him, he gets down on one knee and pulls out an engagement ring.
When Paige turns around, the surprise is perfect: overjoyed and with tears in her eyes, she accepts her boyfriend's creative marriage proposal.
But Brando not only wins over his future wife, but also the TikTok audience. Since September 10, the curious work has received more than eight million clicks and 1.7 million likes. Because the romantic video really gets to many people.
If that's not a successful marriage proposal!
