Six procedures at once: Woman dies after eight hours of plastic surgery!
Sobral (Brazil) - Viviane Lira Monte (24) wanted to change something about her appearance. To achieve this, she decided to undergo six procedures at once with a Brazilian plastic surgeon - a short time later she was dead.
The accident occurred in Sobral in the Brazilian state of Ceará. There, the 24-year-old had discovered an offer from the surgeon online, as reported bythe Mirror.
She planned several procedures in one go, apparently to save money, but she had no idea that this would have fatal consequences.
In the session on August 31, she underwent an eight-hour operation with breast reduction and liposuction on her stomach, arms, back and chin. Afterwards, some of the liposuctioned fat was to be used to make her bottom bigger.
According to relatives, she was discharged from the Hospital do Coração de Sobral just 15 hours after the operation. Complications immediately became apparent.
She was in terrible pain and her blood pressure dropped rapidly, which is why she went straight to the emergency room. From there, she was taken to the intensive care unit of a larger hospital due to her poor condition.

She was then treated for a pulmonary embolism at North Regional Hospital on September 3. But the more serious problem - a massive infection in her abdomen - could not be brought under control by the doctors.
"She couldn't breathe, but they managed to resuscitate her and intubate her, but she just couldn't recover. We watched her die day after day. It was 22 days of suffering with no good news. Every day she spoke to us with a very weak voice and had difficulty breathing. She knew she was going to die," says her husband Renan Santiago. According to local media, she eventually died of heart failure.
Santiago blames the surgeon. He is said to have tempted the young woman with discounts to undergo further procedures. According to him, she actually only wanted liposuction on her stomach, but was then persuaded to have more. She was even given free liposuction on her chin.
Regarding her condition, the plastic surgeon only said that it was "normal" that she was so weak. A few hours before her death, he is even said to have visited her in the intensive care unit before leaving to travel.
The Sobral police consider the case to be "suspicious" and have launched further investigations.
