Pensioner proves he's alive with ID - doctor's office declares him dead anyway!

England - A pensioner from England was turned away at a doctor's surgery because he was supposedly "deceased" - even though he was standing right in front of the staff!

Alan Rocket (69) wanted to register again as a patient at the practice where he was treated a few years ago.

However, as The Sun reported, the staff told him with a grin that he was already "dead". When Rocket then asked to see his medical records, he was refused.

He then had no choice but to go home to get his passport as proof of identity.

"It was really frustrating. I was diagnosed with bowel cancer exactly five years ago. I'm in remission now, but not fully recovered. When I was told I was dead, I was totally stressed," Rocket explained.

He returned to the practice with his ID in hand and said: "Here, I'm alive!" But that didn't help either.

It was only 24 hours later that he was finally allowed to register again. The practice apologized and explained that a "technical problem" with the patient files was responsible for the misunderstanding.
