One footballer who has not made it out of the shadow of his world-famous father is the eldest son of Zinédine Zidane (52).
Enzo Alan Zidane Fernández (29), who once received immense advance praise and was considered a future superstar, was never really able to gain a foothold on the big professional stage.
The Real Madrid-trained midfielder never managed to fill his father's shoes, either in Spain or elsewhere.
The surname itself did not seem to be enough for him to assert himself at the highest level - and so it comes as it must.
According to media reports, the father of the family has now decided to end his professional career.
According to the Spanish daily newspaper AS, he has decided to hang up his soccer boots at the age of just 29 and focus entirely on his private life in future.
It had been looming and foreshadowed, but the legacy could not have been more difficult for the father of three. Even at the start of his career, in 2014 in Madrid's talent factory, the French-born player was held in high regard.
