Let your dog sleep in the bed with you: Is that a good idea?
Great Britain - Autumn has begun and with it the cuddling season. If you want to make yourself comfortable in bed due to the temperature, you should refrain from offering your four-legged friend a place to sleep next to you, advises a doctor.

Dr. Deborah Lee warns RSPLive that dogs' hair and dander pose a danger.
These can trigger allergies in humans because the human body's immune cells recognize the dog or cat antigen as a threat to health .
The doctor describes that a kind of "inflammatory reaction" takes place, which leads to a narrowing of the airways, resulting in less air getting into the lungs.
The unpleasant consequences can then trigger asthma-like symptoms such as coughing, wheezing and shortness of breath.
Be careful if the dog is infested with fleas
Further misfortune threatens if the furry friend is infested with fleas, which is said to apply to around a quarter of velvet paws.
As many dogs (and cats) also test positive for E. coli or salmonella bacteria, you are not immune to digestive diseases if you and your four-legged friend live together too closely.
Cuddles with your pet are perfectly fine, but dogs are only of limited use as sleeping companions.
