How bad is Tanja Szewczenko's health really? "Kids are only allowed to cuddle my legs"

Dubai/Cologne - Days after the outbreak of swine flu, Tanja Szewzcenko (46) has given her first detailed and emotional update. Is the head of the family feeling better soon?

For many, the flu is simply part of the tough everyday life within a family - for the former RTL actress, the current situation is like a mental, life-threatening ordeal.

The 46-year-old has been completely laid up for several days now, but is fighting her way back to normality step by step.

"I'm feeling better, but I'm staying mentally strong because I've had swine flu before," the expat clarifies.

The lack of contact with her children is particularly difficult for her. After all, they haven't been moved out due to their mother's almost unprecedented condition, but are having a great time one floor down.

"I can hear them playing and sometimes crying, but it tears my heart out as a mother. (...) At the moment, they are only allowed to cuddle with my legs," she said on Thursday, tears welling up in her eyes.

In her latest Instagram story, the Dubai lover also seemed visibly moved by her ailing fate.

Particularly in focus: husband Norman (45)! "He's coping quite well down there". But she doesn't really seem to be enjoying the whole thing...

The former "Mein Mann kann" contestant simply loves being a full-blooded mom too much. Even her cookies weren't allowed to pounce on her mom, who was completely unknown in the desert, after her visit to the doctor.

"We all have to be a bit brave," is the family's internal announcement. In the meantime, the 46-year-old wants to take care of her daily work as a freelancer. "Despite influenza, there are deadlines to meet."
