Man triggers bomb alarm and has a strange explanation for it
Lubin (Poland) - A man inPoland has triggered a false bomb alarm. His curious motive was surprising. He was also not completely sober.

The 50-year-old from Lubin in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship alerted the emergency services at around 9 p.m. on Monday evening and said that a bomb had been planted in a block of flats in the town, a spokesman for the Lubin police said.
Emergency services were immediately dispatched to the address, including several police patrols, medical rescue teams and the fire department.
According to the Polish news portal Interia , specialists from the mine and pyrotechnics reconnaissance group checked the building and the surrounding area for suspected explosives.
During this time, all residents of the affected building had to leave their homes.
As it turned out, it was a false alarm and the caller was quickly identified by the officers. During a search of his home, the officers seized his cell phone, which could have been used to commit a crime.
It also quickly became clear that the suspect was drunk. A breath test revealed that he had had a good tipple and was therefore two per mille drunk.
But it got even stranger!
The suspect faces a long prison sentence
Based on the evidence gathered, the man was arrested for setting off a false alarm and taken to the police station. During interrogation, he justified his behavior by saying that he had no hot water in the apartment due to a gas leak and the temporary shutdown of the power supply by the emergency gas service.
He thought that he would speed up the rectification of the unpleasant situation if he informed the emergency services.
The 50-year-old now faces a prison sentence of up to eight years.
