'The Exorcist' cinematographer Owen Roizman dead at 86
Los Angeles - US cinematographer Owen Roizman , who was behind the camera for Hollywood films such as "The Exorcist" and "Tootsie", has died. He was 86 years old.

He died Friday night (local time) at his home in Encino, California, reported the film magazine"Hollywood Reporter", citing Roizman's wife Mona.
The American Society of Cinematographers mourned the death of the cinematographer, who died after a "long illness", according to the organization's social media.
Roizman was nominated five times for an Oscar - for his camera work on "French Connection - Brennpunkt Brooklyn", "The Exorcist", "Network", "Tootsie" and "Wyatt Earp - The Life of a Legend".
He had always come away empty-handed at the awards ceremonies, but the Oscar Academy recognized his achievements in 2017 with an honorary Oscar.
The cinematographer had a very special eye, not just for individual images, but for the story as a whole, explained 'Tootsie' star Dustin Hoffman (85) in his eulogy for Roizman at the time.
