15-year-old wipes out his family: But how severe will his sentence really be?
USA - After the horrific act of a 15-year-old who allegedly killed his parents and three siblings, his prison time could be limited. It is up for decision whether he will be sentenced in juvenile court.

The teenager who allegedly shot and killed his family in a house in Washington state last Monday could only remain in custody until he is 25 years old - if he is convicted in juvenile court.
However, as the New York Post reported, prosecutors are lobbying for the case to be brought before an adult court, where the teenager could face a life sentence.
His defense attorney, on the other hand, describes him as a caring boy with no criminal history who enjoys mountain biking and fishing.
"We want the court to know that we have been approached by several people in the community who know our client and they have attested to his good character," she said in court last Friday.
15-year-old murderer tried to blame his brother

The charging documents reveal that the 15-year-old apparently concocted a disturbing plan to portray the massacre as the act of his 13-year-old brother and emerge as the sole survivor himself.
He placed the gun in his dead brother's hands and told officers that his brother had committed the crime because he had been caught watching porn the night before.
His eleven-year-old sister, who was actually the only survivor, was able to describe the actual events to the investigators.
The teenager was charged with five counts of first-degree murder and premeditated murder and is currently in custody.
The District Attorney's Office announced that a hearing is scheduled for January 8, 2025 to determine which court he will ultimately be tried in.
